What cookies this website uses, why, and how you can control them.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work properly, remember your preferences and (where you allow it) help us understand how the site is used.
| Category | Purpose | Can you turn it off? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Required for core functions like your shopping basket, checkout and account security, set by our Online Store platform (IONOS / Ecwid), and to remember your cookie preference so we don't ask again. | No, the site and shop can't function without these. |
| Functional | Remember choices you've made (for example, display preferences) to make your next visit smoother. | Yes, with your consent. |
| Analytics / performance | We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site (e.g. which pages are popular) so we can improve it. GA only loads if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner; it never runs before you've made a choice. | Yes, with your consent. |
| Advertising / marketing | Would be used to show relevant adverts or measure campaign performance. Not currently in use on this site. | Yes, with your consent. |
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
grip_cookie_consent | Strictly necessary: remembers whether you accepted or declined cookies, so the banner doesn't reappear on future visits. | 365 days |
_ga | Google Analytics: distinguishes unique visitors. Only set if you click Accept. | ~2 years |
_ga_<container-id> | Google Analytics: persists your session state. Only set if you click Accept. | ~2 years |
Our shop, checkout and payment are provided by IONOS's Online Store (powered by Ecwid). To let you add items to a basket and complete an order securely, this system needs to set its own strictly necessary cookies. These are essential to using the shop and can't be switched off if you want to buy from us online.
Where a cookie isn't strictly necessary, you'll be asked for your consent before it's set. You can also control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings: every major browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) has a section for managing or blocking cookies in its settings or privacy menu. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, such as the shopping basket, from working properly.
We may update this policy if the cookies we use change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
